Aina Ramolete
Aina is an emerging Filipino artist and a third-generation puppeteer from Manila, Philippines.
She performs, designs and directs puppetry and is currently the Associate Artistic Director of
Teatrong Mulat ng Pilipinas (“Mulat” meaning “to open one’s eyes”), the pioneering puppet theater
group in the Philippines. In her works, she celebrates the rich heritage of Asian and Filipino culture
by combining traditional and contemporary techniques, design and sensibilities. She hopes to
foster a deeper appreciation of this cultural narrative in a more global stage.
